- Use the original passport for immigration procedures; a visa is mandatory for entry into South Korea.
- You will be provided with 3 declaration forms to present to customs officials upon entry: Health Declaration Form, Entry Declaration Form, and Customs Declaration Form. Carry a pen to proactively fill in the information, complete all sections accurately without erasures or falsehoods.
- In some instances, you may be required to present a round-trip flight ticket, hotel reservation confirmation, and more.
* Additional considerations for international travel:
- When departing from Vietnam, you are not allowed to carry documents or materials from government agencies, the Party, and the State, explosives, weapons, and other prohibited items.
- Foreign nationals leaving Vietnam must carry the customs declaration form from their first entry into Vietnam and the departure visa, as they will need to enter Vietnam again.
- Prohibited items to bring into the territory of South Korea include products listed in the banned category for air transportation, such as meat and meat-based foods (sausages, jerky, canned beef, etc.), eggs, vegetables, fruits with seeds, milk, and dairy products (butter, cheese, etc.)
- According to the regulations of Vietnamese and South Korean customs, you are not allowed to carry more than 5,000 USD when entering or leaving the country.
- Ensure that your carry-on and checked baggage complies with the maximum weight regulations of each airline. If exceeded, additional fees may apply.
- If you bring items such as cameras, watches, or other valuables exceeding 300 USD, you must declare them to customs to avoid being taxed.
