To achieve the secret ending, you need to make specific dialogue choices with Johnny in a mission called

Chippin' In. In this mission, you'll go to an oil field with Johnny Silverhand, and when you start talking to Johnny, you need to choose your words very carefully.

- When Johnny first asks you what should be written on his tombstone, you need to reply: 'The savior of my existence'.

- Then, Johnny admits he messed up everything except his relationship with you, say: 'No, you messed that up as well'.
