*December 2021 Update: What's the Status of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition Updates? Which Devices Are in Line?
According to recent statements, Xiaomi plans to roll out MIUI 12.5 as early as the first half of 2021. This new MIUI version includes significant optimization aimed at enhancing the operating system's smoothness and user experience.
Do you know everything about MIUI 12.5? What are the new features, which devices are getting updates, and when exactly? Let's delve into these details in this article!
1. Determine Your Approximate Location

MIUI 12.5 enhances the privacy of your location. With the newly added feature, you can inform apps about your approximate location, not your exact one. This way, apps cannot track you.
2. New Volume Control Panel

The volume control panel, unchanged for a long time, will sport a much sleeker appearance with MIUI 12.5. While no additional functions are added, it features new animations and a fresh interface.
4. Enhancements to Launcher Interface and Effects
MIUI 12.5 will revamp and improve the interfaces of launchers, creating more vibrant and impressive effects.

5. New Power Menu

MIUI 12.5 will not add any new functions or features to the power menu. However, its interface will undergo a complete transformation.
6. Easily Convert Images to PDF Format

With MIUI 12.5, you can quickly and easily convert any image to PDF format in your photo library.
7. Easy Customization of Multi-App Taskbar

The latest multitasking interface, which was revamped alongside MIUI 10, can now be customized with MIUI 12. We can revert to the multitasking style of MIUI 9 with this latest update.
8. New Camera Settings Interface

Camera settings and features on phones are becoming increasingly complex. This inadvertently causes difficulties for users if the interface is overly intricate. However, with MIUI 12.5, this complexity has been replaced with a simple interface.
9. Cleaner Redesigned with a Completely New Interface

With MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi has given Cleaner a completely fresh look, making it much cooler and sleeker.
10. New Notification Interface

With MIUI 12.5, the notification shade has been redesigned to resemble the interface of Android 11. Notifications and messages are categorized clearly.
In addition, MIUI 12.5 also includes other enhancements such as:
- New fingerprint animations
- Voice control
