The dimensions of 7-a-side football fields according to VFF (Vietnam Football Federation) and FiFa (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) standards are as follows:
Standard Playing Field Dimensions
- The playing field is a rectangular shape with dimensions: length ranging from 50m to 75m, and width ranging from 40m to 55m.
- The 13m line is a straight line parallel to and 13m away from the width boundary, running across the field.
- The dimensions of boundary lines must not exceed 12cm in width.
- The halfway line is a horizontal line dividing the field into two equal parts.
- At the center of the halfway line is a point, marking the center of the field. This point serves as the center of a circle with a radius of 6m, forming the center circle.
- Gradient of the field: According to FIFA standards, the slope should be i <=1%.
Goal Area
The goal area is enclosed by the width boundary lines and the following straight segments:
- From a point 5m away from the goalposts along the width boundary of each half, draw two parallel straight lines perpendicular to the width boundary, each with a length of 5m. Then, connect the two ends of these lines together.
Goal Frame
- The goal frame is positioned at the center of each width boundary.
- The goal frame consists of 2 vertical posts perpendicular to the width boundary, equidistant from the corner flags, with a spacing of 6m (measured from the inner edge of the post). They are connected by a horizontal crossbar parallel to the ground and situated 2.10m above the field (measured from the bottom edge of the crossbar).
- The vertical posts and crossbar of the goal frame must have the same dimensions and not exceed 12cm in width.
- The net must be securely attached to the vertical posts, crossbar, and fixed to the ground behind the goal to prevent any interference with the goalkeeper's movements and to ensure that the ball does not rebound back into the field after crossing the goal line.
Penalty Area
The penalty area is the designated region confined by the width boundary and the following straight segments:
- Starting 13m away from the goalposts along the width boundary of each half, mark two parallel straight lines perpendicular to the width boundary, each with a length of 13m. Connect these lines with a straight line.
Within each penalty area, there is a clearly marked point with a diameter of 22cm. This point, known as the penalty spot, is positioned 9m away from the midpoint of the width boundary.
