Getting from Yangon Airport to the Capital's Center
After securing your flight tickets to Myanmar, it's crucial to know the transportation options from the airport to the city center for a seamless arrival. Here are two choices for your convenience:

Taxi
Taking a taxi from Yangon Airport to the city center is quick, easy, and affordable. The journey takes only 20 minutes, with a fare of around 15,000 MMK (Myanmar Kyat) or approximately 167,000 VND. Taxis are available 24/7 just outside the terminal at Yangon Airport. Simply exit the main door and turn left to find taxis waiting there.
Bus
Choosing to travel by bus is the most economical way to reach the city center. There are two different RGN Shuttle bus routes from Yangon Airport to the city; one to Pyay Road and the other to Kabar Aye Pagoda Road. Each route takes about 50 minutes with a very affordable fare of 500 MMK (approximately 6,000 VND).

You must pay for the bus ticket by accurately inserting the correct change into a metal box upon boarding. However, ensure you have the exact amount, as this machine does not provide change. Buses depart just outside the arrivals hall. Simply exit through the emergency door, turn left, and walk past the taxi queue to catch the bus.
