Step 1: Check iCloud (very important). Determine if your device is iCloud locked or if iCloud is hidden. If iCloud is genuine, no need to check.
Step 2: Backup data. If there is important data, back it up; otherwise, you can skip this step. The backup process is as follows:
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer, open iTunes software, and select Back Up Now. Wait for the backup process to complete (speed depends on the amount of data and apps on the device).

Step 3: Connect your iPhone to a computer using a USB cable. Make sure iTunes on the computer is turned on.
Step 4: Press and hold the power button until the slider appears. Slide it to the right to turn off the device. Wait for 5 seconds for the device to completely turn off before proceeding.

Step 5: Simultaneously press and hold the power button and the Home button for about 10 seconds.

Step 6: After 10 seconds, release the power button and only hold the Home button for another 10 seconds.

Step 6: iTunes will prompt that the device needs restoration. Click OK to proceed with the restoration process.
