Forgetting this password can sometimes leave you locked out. After a prolonged period of not unlocking your phone with the password, many phones will prompt you to enter it. 1. Unlocking Your Samsung Galaxy Smartphone Using Find My Mobile Feature
To utilize this feature, ensure that your smartphone meets all of the following conditions:
- The mobile device must be turned on (not powered off).
- The mobile device must be connected to Wi-Fi or mobile network.
- Your Samsung account must be logged in on the phone you want to unlock, and remote unlock option must be enabled.
If you've met all the necessary conditions, let's proceed to unlock your Samsung phone when you forget the password using the following steps:
Step 1: Access the Samsung Find My Mobile website on your computer > Proceed to log in to your Samsung Account to perform the steps to unlock your phone when you forget the password.

However, Samsung recommends users to only use two features: Trusted places and Trusted devices. Avoid using the Body detection feature because this mode cannot differentiate between the actual phone owner and strangers.
Note when using Smart Lock:
- This feature will be available for use after you set up the screen lock type.
- If you haven't used your device for four hours or when you restart your phone, you'll need to unlock the screen using the pattern, PIN, or password you've set.
