Yun Jin, the newest 4-star support character in Genshin Impact, has raised concerns among many players due to the intricacies of team composition.
Yun Jin is the latest 4-star character released in Genshin Impact version 2.4. Her design has been teased in previous versions, making her one of the most anticipated characters in Genshin Impact.

In gameplay, Yun Jin serves as a support character, but her skill set can leave many players perplexed about how to utilize her effectively. Unlike Bennett or Xingqiu, Yun Jin focuses on supporting normal attack damage based on DEF stats. As not every character in Genshin Impact excels in normal attacks, Yun Jin can only complement certain characters.
1. Yoimiya

Yoimiya is perhaps the most suitable 5-star character to complement Yun Jin's support abilities at the current stage. Upon her release, this fireworks expert was heavily underrated for various reasons, including her inability to deal AoE damage and only targeting single opponents at a time.
Yoimiya's kit relies heavily on normal attacks. After activating her elemental skill, her normal attacks inflict Pyro damage. The introduction of Yun Jin with a normal attack support kit has drawn more attention to Yoimiya. Some even speculate that Yun Jin's buffs are specifically designed for Yoimiya.
2. Tartaglia

One of Childe's common playstyles involves using his Elemental Skill as his main source of damage. After using this skill, Childe switches from ranged to melee combat. In melee stance, Childe's attacks deal Hydro damage and continuously apply the Wet status, thus benefiting from Yun Jin's buffs. When combined with Kazuha, who can gather enemies and reduce resistance, Tartaglia can become an extremely powerful DPS.
3. Noelle

Noelle is a 4-star character that all players can easily obtain early in the game. Noelle's abilities are diverse and can be extremely powerful if built correctly. Capable of healing, generating shields, and dealing substantial damage, Noelle often doesn't require many supporting characters in battle.
Noelle's burst focuses on her normal attacks. After unleashing her burst, Noelle's normal attacks deal Geo damage. Therefore, Yun Jin can fully buff Noelle when both use their bursts simultaneously. However, Noelle's attack speed is quite slow, which may be the biggest drawback when using this combination.
4. Diluc

In the early days of the game's release, Diluc was still considered one of the strongest DPS characters that everyone should have. Despite falling slightly behind other meta DPS characters, Diluc remains popular and holds great potential.
Diluc can alternate between normal attacks and elemental skills to deal high damage. Diluc's playstyle heavily relies on normal attacks, especially after activating his Elemental Burst (Q), during which Diluc's normal attacks deal Pyro damage for a certain duration. Paired with Yun Jin's buffs, Diluc's damage output can significantly increase with just his normal attacks.
5. Kaeya

With Kaeya and Yun Jin, players may have to adopt a more 'rogue' style of play. Kaeya is often used as a Sub DPS and support, but can also be built as a DPS. This comes with many considerations and risks, as Kaeya isn't inherently a physical damage-focused character, and players will need to invest significantly to turn him into one.

Previously, many players noticed that Kaeya's normal attack scaling was higher than other sword-wielding characters, even surpassing some 5-star characters. This led many to experiment with physical damage builds for Kaeya, focusing on his normal attacks for primary damage. Paired with Yun Jin, Kaeya can optimize his normal attack damage further. Additionally, Kaeya's normal attacks are relatively fast, allowing for maximum utilization of Yun Jin's buff duration.
