Namsan Mountain
Namsan is a renowned South Korean landmark. The name 'Namsan' translates to 'South Mountain' in Korean, named for its historical position relative to Seoul. Standing at approximately 262m, Namsan may not be the tallest, but it captivates both locals and tourists alike.

Namsan is the location of the N Seoul Tower, one of the most famous tourist spots in South Korea. The N Seoul Tower stands at 236.7m on top of Namsan Mountain and was the country's first television tower, built in 1969 with a budget of 2.5 million US dollars.

Changdeokgung Palace, situated in Seoul, is also a renowned South Korean landmark cherished by travelers. It is one of the five grand palaces constructed during the Joseon Dynasty. Established in 1405, the palace served as the residence for many Joseon kings. Changdeokgung is famous for its traditional Korean architecture and the rear garden, known as 'Biwon' or 'Secret Garden.' This garden is an outstanding example of how the Joseon Dynasty designed gardens, featuring a large pond, flowing streams, and seasonal vegetation changes.

Seongsan Ilchulbong, or 'Sunrise Peak,' is a mountain peak on the east side of Jeju Island. This volcanic island was formed by a volcanic eruption around 5,000 years ago. Seongsan Ilchulbong has a bowl-shaped crater with a diameter of about 600m, a depth of around 90m, and is surrounded by 99 sharp rocks. With its sheer cliffs standing next to the sea, it appears from a distance like a crown with protruding edges.

One of the renowned South Korean landmarks ingrained in the memories of the 90s and 80s generation through the drama 'Winter Sonata' is Nami Island, or Namiseom, located on Cheongpyeong Lake. This small island on the Han River is approximately 63 km from the capital, Seoul. Nami Island was named after a Joseon official named Min Young-ik, who used his last name 'Nami' for the island.

Bulguksa Temple, located in the city of Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do province, is also a renowned South Korean landmark with religious significance. Built in the 8th century during the Silla Dynasty, Bulguksa is an icon of prosperity and the Buddhist spirit of Silla.
