Explore the Spiritual Oasis: Minh Thanh Pagoda - Essential Stop on Your Pleiku Journey
Located approximately 2 km from downtown Pleiku, Minh Thanh Pagoda sits at 348 Nguyen Viet Xuan Street, Hoi Phu Ward. Unlike other temples rooted in Mahayana Buddhism, Minh Thanh Pagoda bears significant influences from Chinese and Japanese architecture.

Established in 1964 by Venerable Thich Giac Dao, the pagoda serves as a place of worship and offerings for Buddhists in the region.

Overseeing Minh Thanh Pagoda is Venerable Thich Tam Man, the first monk in Vietnam to graduate with a master's degree in Buddhist art.

Upon visiting the temple, from a distance, you'll immediately spot the majestic nine-story stupa, while inside the temple grounds stands a 40-ton statue of Amitabha Buddha, towering at 7.5 meters. The main hall of the temple rises to 16 meters, crafted from durable and sturdy teak wood. The door set is made of ironwood with a frame thickness of 4 inches and 6 door panels with a thickness of 2 inches, intricately carved with the six great Bodhisattvas.

The temple courtyard is adorned with miniature landscapes, ponds, and lush greenery, creating a harmonious and refreshing atmosphere within the solemn space of the temple.

Having endured the vicissitudes of history, Minh Thanh Pagoda has undergone numerous renovations and continues to expand its doors to welcome more visitors.
