Traditional martial arts are challenging, but mixed martial arts (MMA) are even more demanding, requiring finesse in each martial arts branch and a high level of training to meet your needs. So, what's the secret to becoming more alluring while practicing Kickfit & MMA?
Mixed martial arts, particularly MMA, is the most developed sport in the United States (including lessons in mixed martial arts such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, and other combat arts…) and nowadays, MMA is also considered a relatively new training discipline for gym-goers compared to Muay Thai or other martial arts… Additionally, due to its novelty, it's not always easy to choose a reputable gym with the most experienced coaches for comprehensive training.

Kickfit, a martial art akin to MMA, draws inspiration from various mixed martial arts styles, focusing on improving health, weight loss, building core strength, benefiting cardiovascular health, and toning muscles. Kickfit incorporates basic Boxing, Muay Thai kicking and punching techniques, emphasizing an authentic Boxing training environment.
1. Follow a Nutritious Diet
As we all know, exercise accounts for 30%, but nutrition constitutes a whopping 70% of the training process. Therefore, regardless of your regimen, planning a suitable nutritional plan is essential for your training routine.
Because Kickfit or MMA workouts are more intense than regular exercises, weight loss strategies in nutrition should not encourage replacing or significantly reducing calorie intake. You should still provide your body with energy replenishment after rigorous training. Your menu should consist of protein and carbohydrates, with a focus on vegetables. Avocado is also a good choice as it is considered a primary source of energy for combat. You can consume healthy fats, but opt for healthy fats.

2. Water or Fruit Juice
Water intake is essential during gym workouts. But how much is enough? About 1/2 liter or 1 liter of water is sufficient during the training session. Water will help you avoid dehydration and muscle cramps while exercising.
Sometimes, you can substitute regular filtered water with safer options:

3. Persevere with the Most Challenging Exercises
Most people tend to dislike and often skip the most challenging exercises, but you should eliminate that mindset because the exercises you dislike the most usually yield the best results.
Martial arts is a high-intensity workout. Therefore, it makes your body work harder to replenish oxygen for about 16 to 24 hours after training. This process is called excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), and it plays a part in post-workout metabolism.

MMA and Kickfit trainers often employ various training methods over time to burn fat and build endurance to sustain training sessions. Instead of short runs on a treadmill or elliptical, they utilize diverse strength training methods to build stamina.
4. Dedicate at least 30 minutes to training
Did you know that in just one hour of martial arts training, you can burn up to 1000 calories? Therefore, at least 30 minutes is sufficient time for your body to metabolize fatty acids instead of glucose. Moreover, training within a certain timeframe will also ensure that old fats are broken down while new fats are prevented from being stored. Consequently, your body will efficiently burn fat thereafter.
5. Ensure Proper and Sufficient Sleep
Proper and sufficient sleep not only helps you achieve beautiful skin but also tackles unwanted fat deposits.
Sources of unwanted fat deposits include:
+ Stress, which makes it difficult for you to sleep. Lack of sleep triggers the release of adrenaline and cortisol (substances related to belly fat).
+ Late-night snacking leads to cravings, prompting you to immediately consume unhealthy foods or sugary drinks
Therefore, ensure proper and sufficient sleep during training to minimize the production of unwanted harmful substances and ensure you have enough energy during workouts.
