Sebastian is not necessarily an antagonist
In Hogwarts Legacy, players can befriend a Slytherin character named Sebastian Sallow, who teaches us dark magic such as unforgivable curses, including the deadly Avada Kedavra incantation. This leads many to believe that Sebastian will be an antagonist. However, the truth is not quite as it seems.
Ultimately, Sebastian takes a wrong path by killing his own brother. Nevertheless, this stems from a different meaningful purpose. Throughout the game, this character is only trying to cure his sister, compelling Sebastian to do things he never thought of. While the character's actions cannot be denied, Sebastian certainly didn't start everything with ill intentions.
Main character starts schooling at the age of 15, instead of 11 as in the original story
As we are aware, the main character in Hogwarts Legacy begins their education at the age of 15 and quickly becomes a prodigy excelling in every pursuit. The developers revealed the reason behind this shortly after.
According to them, they didn't feel comfortable sending an 11-year-old child into intense, dark magical battles. That's the main reason they raised the character's starting age a bit.
The Rebellion of Goblins
In the original, Goblins, also known as magical creatures, are always considered a lower class compared to wizards. Despite their high intelligence, even being mathematical geniuses, Goblins are always tightly controlled and supervised. They aren't even allowed to carry wands and are consistently deemed untrustworthy.
The uprising of Goblins in Hogwarts Legacy primarily stems from this factor. It later evolves, spreading into an extremely fierce battle.
