In 2015, as Singapore celebrated its 50th National Day, 'Hitman: Agent 47,' a 20th Century Fox film, coincidentally showcased half of its scenes in the Lion City. Filmmakers emphasized that it was the first time Singapore graced the big screen with breathtaking footage.
In the movie, Singapore is portrayed as a country with a warm climate, advanced healthcare, multilingual residents fluent in English, Tamil, and Chinese, and home to the world's most beautiful orchid garden. In the scene where 47 and Katia confront gunfire in the aircraft hangar, if you pay attention, you'll notice the ITE logo. Interestingly, though the characters are supposed to be in Berlin, Germany, the filmmakers chose to shoot this sequence right in Singapore to save costs.
3. Marina Barrage
In the film, Huynh Hieu Minh's wife, Angela Baby, plays Diana – a liaison for a secret organization. Despite having a minor role, Angela Baby left a lasting impression on the audience. Her most memorable Hollywood moment to date is the scene where she stands atop Marina Barrage, making a phone call.
