3. Scriptwriter Changes
Fans of the John Wick franchise are familiar with Derek Kolstad, the original scriptwriter for 'John Wick' and its two sequels detailing the saga of the ex-assassin.
However, for this installment, Derek is no longer involved in the scriptwriting process. John Wick 4's screenplay is crafted by the duo Shay Hatten and Michael Finch.
Nevertheless, fans need not worry, as Shay Hatten also contributed to the script for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019), alongside Derek Kolstad, and the film was a resounding success.
4. Twice-Postponed Release Date
Initially scheduled for May 27, 2022, John Wick 4 faced delays, with Lionsgate announcing a new release date of March 24, 2023, through a brief teaser released on December 23, 2021.
This delay is not the first occurrence. Previously, the film was planned for release on May 21, 2021, but was postponed to May 27, 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the Comic Con Experience 2022 in Brazil, Keanu Reeves declared that John Wick 4 is the most challenging film he has ever acted in.
