Dataminers (hackers specialized in information mining from files) have analyzed the alpha test 2.0 installation package of the game for testing purposes. The results were quite surprising as they discovered that the next expansion's title might be Lord of Hatred, the moniker of the demon Mephisto and the father of Lilith. This becomes more plausible as Diablo 4's storyline revolves around Lilith; undoubtedly, she will have some actions related to her father leading to an expansion for this grand demon.
According to discovered descriptions, Mephisto will wield a staff appearing at the end of the main game. The game's setting could be placed in the Kurast region, where Mephisto previously conquered in Diablo 2. Alongside that, there will be new additions such as items, quests, bosses. A new character class named Spiritborn will also make an appearance. A new system named Mercenary System will remind Diablo 2 players of the hired NPCs for combat support in the old days.
Of course, these pieces of information are only what's left in scattered files of Diablo 4. Nothing is certain whether they will be in the same DLC or even if they are DLC content at all. Currently, Diablo 4 is in season 2 and has just been released not long ago. The addition of story DLCs or new character classes may take a long time to be announced.
