Ho Chi Minh City - On July 15, 2022, VCCorp officially announced and opened the voting gate for the Car Choice Awards 2022 to find the winning car model in four categories: 'Personal Vehicle', 'Family Vehicle', 'Service Vehicle', and 'Trendy Vehicle'.
According to the announcement by the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), as of June 2022, car sales in Vietnam reached 201,840 units, marking a 34% increase compared to the same period last year. This remarkable growth occurred amidst high car prices due to semiconductor shortages, soaring fuel prices, and concerns about economic downturns after four waves of Covid-19 outbreaks.
In the upcoming period, the Vietnamese market is predicted to have relatively significant growth potential as it enters the 'My Car' era. Therefore, not only should the quantity increase, but also the designs and quality must meet the needs of individual consumers, which is something car manufacturers need to pay attention to.
Capturing this market demand and aiming for better mutual understanding between car manufacturers and consumers, VCCorp executes Car Choice Awards 2022.
Unveiling Dreams: Car Choice Awards 2022 Journey
In Vietnam, there are already several annual car awards organized by reputable media outlets and automotive forums. To provide consumers with more reference points before making purchasing decisions, VCCorp conducts the Car Choice Awards to honor products tailored to the needs of consumers, chosen by consumers themselves and experts representing various consumer groups in Vietnam.
With the criterion of product suitability for each individual consumer as the primary goal, the Car Choice Awards journey will be the necessary vehicle for each person to explore their own needs accurately: buying a car for personal use, for the family, or for other purposes.
Furthermore, Car Choice Awards aims to be a place for manufacturers to listen to and understand the needs of Vietnamese consumers, thereby producing better quality, aesthetic, and technologically advanced cars to serve consumers. We believe that to have a healthy and sustainable automobile market, consumers must truly have a voice and be free to express their praise and criticism of products.
Car Choice Awards will be held annually, divided into 4 main categories, including: 'Personal Vehicle', 'Family Vehicle', 'Service Vehicle', and 'Trendy Vehicle'. The 'Trendy Vehicle' category will change annually to keep up with market developments, global trends, and changes in Vietnamese shopping habits and behaviors.
This year, Car Choice Awards 2022 will be divided into the following subcategories:
The list of vehicles competing for the Car Choice Awards 2022 includes models currently available on the market, with no restriction on the launch time.
The awards will consist of 3 rounds:
- WeVote (from 07/15/2022 to 08/15/2022): Users nominate and vote for the top 5 most suitable car models according to each criterion and category.
- WeDrive (from 08/16/2022 to 09/15/2022): The Top 5 groups of cars enter comparison challenges within the series named Fact Content. Hundreds of users nationwide using the Top 5 car groups also provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses in the series named Reader's Perspective, allowing readers to have a more authentic view of each car model and make more accurate votes. Along with that, the Car Choice Awards journey will travel across Vietnam, rolling from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to inspire, convey messages, and bring the list of Top 5 to real users, car enthusiast groups, and car owners across the country. Reader votes will decide 70% of the total points.
- WeCheck (from 09/16/2022 to 09/31/2022): The organizing committee selects the judging panel, consisting of leading experts representing various user communities with different needs, who have owned and experienced numerous cars over the past decades. They have multidimensional perspectives including expertise, community, media, reviewers, sales, and entrepreneurs, to score the Top 5 cars and decide the remaining 30% of the points.
The cars with the highest scores on a 100-point scale will be honored at the gala night scheduled to take place on 10/8 in Ho Chi Minh City. This will be the first appearance of a grand music and light performance to honor the most suitable cars for consumers. The Gala award ceremony will feature the participation of Ministries, Committees, Departments, media agencies, representatives of car manufacturers, technical experts, product experts, and representatives of businesses in the automotive industry.

Online voting portal https://cca.autopro.com.vn/ officially opens on July 15, 2022. To participate in voting, users use their Facebook or Google accounts to register, nominate, and vote for car models based on their own experiences and preferences. Voting results will be displayed in real-time throughout the Car Choice Awards 2022. Join us to choose the most suitable cars of this year and stand a chance to receive attractive gifts.
