Many are surprised by what this game announces.
The name making headlines here is Skull & Bones - a long-awaited blockbuster from Ubisoft. After 9 years undergoing numerous renovations, even changes in development personnel, gameplay adjustments, graphics enhancements, and a whopping $120 million expenditure, recently, this renowned publisher has officially announced the completion of the game Skull & Bones, ready for launch later this year.

Of course, this is quite exciting news for long-time fans of Ubisoft - those who have heard and awaited this project for nearly a decade. However, amidst the still raging emotions, quite a few gamers were taken aback by the announcement from Ubisoft. Specifically, Ryan Barnard, the game director at Ubisoft, shared in an interview that Skull & Bones will have no central plot.

According to Ubisoft, Skull & Bones is affirmed to be a game that completely disregards storyline. Players will not engage in this game in the usual manner: following an adventure journey, discovering a character, and anticipating what will happen. In fact, Skull & Bones also lacks a conclusion. Ryan mentioned that the game still has NPCs to guide players and has separate stories, but certainly, there is no overarching plot.

In that case, the storyline of Skull & Bones will not originate from Ubisoft but will be written by the players themselves, or in other words, a non-linear plot. You can do anything, true to the nature of an open-world game. Explore new lands, plunder from other players on the same server, or cooperate with teammates, all depending on the player's choice.

It is known that each server of Skull & Bones will accommodate 20 players. Currently, this game has set the official release date on November 8th of this year.
