Xiaomi has just introduced the Pad 5 Pro with a large 12.4-inch screen, upgraded from the 2021 generation (11' display), equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, a 10,000 mAh battery, and a camera system similar to that of the Xiaomi 12 smartphone.Design & Display
The Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro features a 12.4' display with 2.5K resolution (2560 x 1600p) at a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support, P3 color gamut, and a brightness of 500 nits. The screen bezels are thin and balanced on all edges, making it a large tablet with ample space for all needs.
This display also supports a stylus pen. For those unaware, the pen comes with 2 buttons on either side for adjustments while drawing or writing, supports a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and has an internal battery that lasts for 8 hours on a single charge. Users can charge the pen by magnetically attaching it to the Mi Pad 5 / 5 Pro on the top edge. Apart from the pen, the device also comes with a foldable keyboard accessory (with a built-in back cover).Hardware
As previously mentioned, the device is equipped with the Snapdragon 870 chip and offers the same performance as the 2021 model. Memory options include 6GB RAM and 128GB, 8GB RAM and 256GB, or 12GB RAM and 512GB.
Regarding the camera, the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro features a main 50MP f/1.8 camera and an additional 2MP f/2.4 depth-sensing camera. The device supports 4K video recording at 30fps or 1080P at 60fps/30fps. As for the selfie camera, it boasts a 20MP f/2.2 resolution.
The battery of the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 2022 has a capacity of 10,000 mAh and supports 67W fast charging (fully charged within 1 hour and 8 minutes).
The Pad 5 Pro supports MIUI 13 on the Android 12 platform.Pricing
The Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro will be available in 3 colors: gray, black, and blue, priced from 2799 NDT in the Chinese market (approximately $415) for the 6GB/128GB variant. The 12GB/512GB variant will be priced at 3999 NDT (around $593).
