New rumors from China suggest that Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 models will feature fast 15W wireless charging even when using third-party chargers not certified by MagSafe.
Currently, users need Apple's MagSafe magnetic wireless charger or a third-party magnetic charger certified as MFM (Made for MagSafe) to fast charge iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14. If using a standard Qi-certified wireless charger, these iPhone models only charge at a maximum power of 7.5W.

Announced by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) in January 2023, the next-generation Qi2 wireless standard combines magnetic energy configuration. This means that future devices using Qi2 will employ the same magnetic technology used in MagSafe devices designed for iPhone 12 and beyond.
