The reason for the reduction may lie in the device's design requirements. While users still appreciate a robust battery, factors like grip comfort, thickness, and weight of the device are equally important.
In reality, battery capacity alone may not be the most critical factor in determining a smartphone's endurance. Instead, it's the combination of both hardware and software.

Despite the attractive price, the features on the Galaxy M42 5G remain impressive with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, possibly featuring waterdrop notch technology. The rear will house a versatile quad-camera setup, similar to the previously launched Galaxy F62.
With the features packed into the Galaxy M42 5G and its reasonably good price, this is poised to be a product aimed at bolstering Samsung's sales in emerging markets.
