Rumors of a Stone Collector crafting a paradise atop a lofty mountain, amidst deep forests, as a gift for his beloved, reached the ears of a maiden cherished by the Stone Collector. Leaving the bustling city behind, she embarked on a journey to the mountainous wilderness. Enthralled by the majestic beauty of the untamed nature of the mountain forests, she was moved by the sincere love of the Stone Collector.
The maiden stayed with the Stone Collector, building a nest of love, establishing a misty village by a deserted stream amidst green hills, amidst wildflowers as the Stone Collector had dreamt. Thus, the villagers named the village 'Cù Lần Village.' Today, the villagers still recount their story through songs like: The Stone Collector, the stone-hearted, Cù Lần village, dreamy Cù Lần...

However, there is a scientific and plausible explanation for this name. It is said that in the past, this place was still pristine, so it became the habitat of the Cù Lần, gentle creatures with the most beautiful large round eyes in the world. Moreover, there are many Cù Lần trees here. The K’ho people exploit them to craft abstract Cù Lần figures, then sell them to tourists (often called Cu Li or Cù Lần with yellow fur used in medical treatments for stopping bleeding).

Cù Lần Valley lies amidst endless pine forests, seemingly on the verge of disappearance, as most of the population here has migrated to other lands for livelihoods. Therefore, a person from Quảng sought out this land, step by step, to recreate a purely Vietnamese village with the idea of forming an eco-tourism area amidst serene mountainous scenery.

Amidst the breathtaking natural landscape of the mountain forests, Cù Lần Village exudes a pristine beauty with the traditional stilt houses of the K’ho ethnic people, uniquely captivating. The cool air of the Lâm Đồng plateau further makes this place a favored retreat for many tourists. With a focus on tourism development, exploration, visitors to Cù Lần Village not only enjoy relaxation in a green, peaceful space amidst the mountains and forests but also participate in incredibly exciting experiential activities.

Most of the indigenous people have scattered elsewhere for livelihoods, so, to prevent the disappearance of this traditional village, a tourism company has planned and implemented conservation activities, preserving and enhancing the beauty of the village at the foot of Langbiang Mountain.
The owner of Cù Lần Village, Mr. Tuấn Anh, passionately envisions a purely Vietnamese village, stating: 'I want to recreate a beautiful, optimistic, non-poor, and very Vietnamese village amidst the Central Highlands forests. Cù Lần Village is the realization of my own dream. Everything purest, most beautiful of rural Vietnam from the three-leaf boats of the Mekong Delta to the simple stilt houses of the Central Highlands...'
