Đắk Tuar Stone Cave, also known as Gộp Chăng, is a natural cave located in Tuar hamlet, Cư Pui commune, Krông Bông district, Đắk Lắk province, Vietnam. Đắk Tuar Stone Cave is situated near Đắk Tuar waterfall, approximately 6km upstream from the center of Cư Pui commune, Krông Bông district, Đắk Lắk province.
Đắk Tuar Stone Cave played a strategic role in the anti-American resistance in Đắk Lắk. It served as the headquarters for the provincial party committee and the main military units of the province. In 1991, Đắk Tuar Stone Cave was recognized as a historical relic. This site not only attracts Vietnamese veterans but also former American veterans who are eager to return.
Đắk Tuar Stone Cave comprises multiple layers, hidden deep within the mountains, capable of accommodating hundreds of military units. Due to its challenging terrain, the provincial party committee and our resistance forces selected this location as the primary base camp. In 1965, from Đắk Tuar Stone Cave, the people of Krông Bông rose up to break the enemy's grip, liberating a vast area in the district. Subsequently, the entire province's resistance forces completely liberated Buôn Mê Thuột in 1975.
