Spatial pigs aren't formidable foes; they mainly seek to flee battles but offer valuable rewards to gamers.
Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based RPG game, so battles occur frequently. However, not all battles are challenging. Even cute creatures can yield substantial rewards, like the Spatial Pigs.

These Spatial Pigs randomly appear as players traverse different areas in the Honkai: Star Rail map. They function somewhat like Teardrop Scarabs in Elden Ring—not powerful adversaries, primarily seeking escape, yet offering valuable rewards.
Each area's Spatial Pig can only be hunted once. Players can track their status by checking the treasure on the mini-map. Once 'tamed,' players receive valuable rewards, and this article covers all you need to know about Spatial Pigs.
Spatial Pigs in Honkai Star Rail

In each area, Spatial Pigs appear only once. These pigs grant players 60 Star Crystals upon defeat, meaning each new area provides an opportunity to earn Star Crystals.
However, the main issue with Spatial Pigs is their tendency to flee after 3 turns. On its first turn, a Spatial Pig displays fear. By the second turn, it prepares to flee, and all its attribute weaknesses are removed. By the third turn, the golden pig vanishes.

With only 3 turns, players must be prepared to break the pig's armor or delay its actions. All Spatial Pigs share three attribute weaknesses: Physical, Quantum, and Virtual. This means players can leverage main characters like Natasha from the outset. If lucky with gacha pulls, additional characters like Sushang, Seele, and especially Welt can be utilized.
Having a damage-dealing specialist to take down Spatial Pigs is crucial. While not heavily armored, they possess a moderate amount of health, so swift action is necessary. The most suitable characters for this role are those with the Hunting Fate, including Dan Heng, Seele, and Sushang.

Furthermore, after capturing a Spatial Pig for the first time, players receive a Tindalos Pig achievement with a reward of 5 Star Crystals.
Spatial Pigs in the Virtual World

In the Virtual World, players may encounter Spatial Pigs randomly. However, unlike the outside world, these pigs don't yield Star Crystals as rewards. Instead, defeating them offers players an additional support option in the Virtual World.
Several random events may occur when players confront more than one Spatial Pig in this mode. Players are likely to engage in consecutive battles, making it easy for Spatial Pigs to escape. Therefore, optimizing your gameplay slightly to claim all rewards is advisable. Nevertheless, victory is still credited, and defeating any of the Spatial Pigs grants you a support option.
