1. How to get here?
Hearing about Ha Dong might make you a bit hesitant as it's quite far from the city center. However, with a bit of effort, it's not too challenging as the roads are easy to navigate. You can go in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the sun.
On the web, there's no exact address, only mentioned to be located in the Green Tree Sports Services Area, Ha Dong, on To Hieu Street, Ha Cau (next to Ha Dong Golf Course). So, when you reach To Hieu, proactively ask the locals around there, just say it's the floating water park – or the newly opened water park, and everyone will know! Follow the signs from To Hieu to the water park; you won't have trouble finding it.
2. Is it as advertised?
Water Fun is advertised as a sprawling park of over 15,000 square meters with plenty of fun and exciting underwater games to keep you entertained for the entire day. However, let's see, now it's my real experience!Water Fun is not as spacious as advertised online.
Although the impressive 15,000 square meters is mentioned, when I arrived, I found that the water park is not very large, with only about 6 – 7 large floating houses quite close to each other, not as 'grand' as advertised online. Additionally, Water Fun has a significant limitation as it is located outdoors with limited greenery. If you go when it's sunny, it can be a bit exhausting. Despite the park providing several shaded resting points for visitors, it may still struggle under the scorching heat of Hanoi's summer.Surrounding the floating houses are quite a few iron fences to ensure safety and divide the areas. However, these crisscrossing iron fences unintentionally detract from the beauty of the park.
3. Opening hours
This park opens early and closes late: from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. Therefore, you can choose cooler times of the day to conquer Water Fun! In my opinion, the two most suitable time frames are 7:00 - 9:00 AM and 4:00 - 6:00 PM, when the weather is not too harsh. And if you can go on weekdays, it's even better: cheaper ticket prices, and the park won't be as crowded as on weekends.Ticket prices at the entrance of Water Fun.
4. What's there to play here?
The biggest plus I give to Water Fun is the floating houses – the core element of this floating water park. The space of the floating park is vibrant with cheerful colors, featuring numerous large and small floating houses in various cute shapes. Besides enjoying these floating houses, you can also capture countless beautiful photos with this fantastic background.Large floating houses with a variety of shapes at Water Fun.
Floating houses with amusing shapes.
Both adults and children love it.
The climb to the top of the floating houses is also securely and cutely designed.
Additionally, there is a dedicated area here to 'recharge' when hungry, offering a variety of drinks and snacks.
However, there's something I couldn't find at Water Fun despite the loud advertising – interesting games and fun challenges. Here, I noticed only a few simple games like water slides or floating path races; apart from that, there aren't many challenging games. Although the floating houses are divided into adult and children's areas, the adult section doesn't offer much uniqueness. Surprisingly, the children's area is even more adorable and enjoyable (you can freely play in both areas).Water Fun attracts quite a crowd of little ones to come and play.
The youngsters really enjoy playing here.
In conclusion, I find this floating park with an entrance fee of 150,000 VND on weekdays and 200,000 VND on weekends to be a bit... pricey! Playing for about 45 minutes to 1 hour can get boring and tiring. Water Fun is perhaps more suitable for families with young children. For adventurous young individuals who seek excitement and novelty, I think it might not quite satisfy you. But if you simply want to relive your childhood, then Water Fun is interesting and adorable enough for you!Water Fun - the first floating water park in Hanoi
