1. Utilize Cell Addresses
When drawing columns in Word, cell addresses function much like Excel. The steps for calculation are as follows:
Note: The formula is Total = Quantity x Unit Price (Refer to the example below).
Step 1: Click on the first cell of the total column.

Step 2: Select Tab Layout > Choose Formula.

Step 3: In the Formula dialog > Enter the formula product(c2:d2) > Choose the format in the Number format cell as shown in the image > Press OK.
Where: c2 contains the quantity data and d2 contains the unit price data.

2. Utilize Functions
Besides using cell addresses, you can also employ functions. Here's how:
Step 1: Select Tab Layout > Choose Formula.

Step 2: In the Formula dialog > Enter the formula product(left) > Choose the format in the Number format cell as shown in the image > Press OK.
