As technology advances, manufacturers actively equip their speaker systems and audio setups with a series of advanced audio technologies to provide customers with an exceptional experience.
1. What is DTS Audio Technology?
In the realm of technological progress, manufacturers diligently integrate advanced audio technologies into their speaker systems and audio setups to offer customers an outstanding experience.
Decoding DTS
DTS, short for Digital Theater Systems Inc., is a company specializing in digital audio technology, established in 1993. The company's DTS decoder is among the leading decoders in digital surround sound technology.
DTS, similar to Dolby Digital, has a fundamental resemblance. However, DTS, with its minimal compression during encoding, is often perceived to deliver superior sound. Moreover, while Dolby Digital is primarily used in film soundtracks, DTS finds its niche in music, boasting an array of advanced features.

DTS Digital Surround
DTS Digital Surround, sometimes abbreviated as DTS 5.1, is a 5.1 audio surround encoding/decoding technology with 20-bit quality—a pinnacle audio standard from DTS.

Immersive Surround Sound
This technology can encode 6 separate 20-bit audio channels (front center, front left, front right, rear left, rear right, and a dedicated low-frequency subwoofer channel). The audio quality across these 6 channels surpasses the 16-bit audio quality found in typical CD discs.
DTS Neo: Fusion II
This technology allows for the simulation of a 9.1 audio effect (meaning audio across 10 channels) from a 5.1 or 6.1 speaker system, thanks to the DTS Neo: Fusion II codec. Consequently, you can hear the melodious chirping of birds directly above, gradually fading into the void, or the distinct sound of footsteps approaching just a few steps behind.

Enhancing Audio Quality
DTS HD
DTS HD currently exists in two versions: DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS-HD High-Resolution Audio. DTS-HD Master Audio stands as the highest quality surround sound standard today, capable of faithfully reproducing every minute detail of the recording.
DTS-HD Master Audio can deliver uncompressed 8-channel surround sound (7.1ch) at a frequency of 96kHz/24bit. The audio sourced from recording studios and film sets is decoded flawlessly, amplified channel by channel, and delivered through the speakers.

Premium Audio Standard
In the remaining version, DTS-HD High Resolution boasts lower audio quality. While it doesn't match DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High Resolution has the advantage of occupying less storage space.
DTS-ES Matrix 6.1
DTS-ES Matrix 6.1 technology enhances the decoded surround sound, making it more authentic and immersive, aligning with the original sound design goals of manufacturers compared to standard 5.1 or 6.1 speaker systems.

Dynamic Surround Sound
DTS-ES Discrete 6.1
DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 is a genuine form of recording 6.1 audio. All 7 audio channels, including the subwoofer channel, are independently recorded, using separate digital technology systems (unlike DTS-ES Matrix 6.1, where the 7th center rear channel is recreated from the other channels).

Elevating Entertainment Quality
The distinctive feature of this technology lies in the independent Left Surround, Right Surround, and Rear Surround channels. As a result, sound is vividly reproduced, freely moving between background noises, enveloping the user's space.
