Upcoming Helicopter Tours to Admire Ho Chi Minh City, Long An from Above
On the morning of April 12th, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in collaboration with various departments, Southern helicopter companies, and travel businesses, conducted a survey flight using EC-255 helicopters to develop the “View Ho Chi Minh City from Above” tourism product, with both short and medium-range flights.
The short-range flight, with an estimated time of 30 to 45 minutes, includes two routes: admiring downtown Ho Chi Minh City and downtown Ho Chi Minh City combined with Can Gio. The medium-range flight lasts approximately 60 minutes with routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Long An along the lines of: downtown Ho Chi Minh City - Endless Fields tourist area (Long An) or Can Gio (Ho Chi Minh City) - Endless Fields tourist area (Long An). This product is expected to be operational on the upcoming April 30th - May 1st holiday with both short and medium-range flights.
According to the plan, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism plays a key role in connecting leading domestic tourism businesses to develop tour products suitable for various target markets and to organize media and promotional activities.
In addition, Military Hospital 175 provides helicopter landing pad support and medical safety for passengers on flights. The Southern helicopter company is responsible for scheduling and flight safety in accordance with Ministry of Defense regulations.
This marks the initial step in a series of new products that the city's tourism sector is implementing to attract tourists, staying ahead of the international market upon reopening under new normal conditions.
