The Ministry of Health has issued guidelines on pandemic prevention and control for individuals entering Vietnam. These regulations will be effective from 15/3, replacing the current guidelines.
Update on the latest international flight schedule and entry regulations for Vietnam from 15/3
According to official documents CV 302/CH-LS-PL from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and CV 1265/BYT-DP from the Ministry of Health on 15/3, Vietnam will update entry policies for foreign tourists with the following details:
Reintroduce visa exemption for countries in Southeast Asia and 13 other countries, including:
Asia: Brunei, Myanmar, Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Russia, Japan, South Korea
Europe: Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belarus.
Passengers entering Vietnam must meet the following conditions:
- Passengers must have valid entry documents such as: permanent residence card, temporary residence card, visa, valid visa exemption (except for countries exempt from visa as above).
- Confirmation of full vaccination.
- Negative test result by RT-PCR/RT-LAMP method (Children under 2 are exempt) within 72 hours before entering Vietnam or can present a negative antigen test result within 24 hours, certified by the competent authority of the country.
- Online health declaration at: https://tokhaiyte.vn.
- Health status declaration via PC-Covid software (download IOS or Google Play) after entry.
- Health insurance with a minimum coverage of $10,000 for Covid-19-related issues.
- Passengers must self-monitor their health for 10 days after entry. If any symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 appear, they must report immediately to the nearest health authority for timely handling and treatment.
