Just utilized Image Capture to transfer over 1000 photos and videos taken during my recent trip to Taiwan from my OPPO Find N3 Flip to my MacBook for selection and resizing purposes.Previously relied on Android File Transfer to move files from various Android devices to my MacBook for content creation. Connect your Android phone to MacBook using a USB-C cable, preferably a high-speed one.
Launch Image Capture using Spotlight Search.
Wait for the application to establish connection with the device and select the images or videos to be copied > Choose Download or Download All.Selecting Download All will initiate the download of all images and media files on the device, including those previously deleted and residing in the recycle bin.
Subsequently, the downloaded files will contain small thumbnail images. These images are usually labeled with a numeric strip, while the complete-sized images will have filenames starting with IMG. Choose the high-quality images, folks.I always sync my photos and videos to Google Photos for backup, making them easily retrievable from the cloud. However, I prefer this method for a small number of images and only when unable to connect a transfer cable.Additionally, you can explore alternatives like OpenMTP or Airdroid.
