Checking bad debts will give you much more peace of mind before going to the bank for a loan or making an installment purchase outside stores. The CIC tool allows you to check the financial status, bank debts, and loan services.

1. What is CIC?
CIC - Credit Information Center is the Credit Information Center under the State Bank of Vietnam. The mission of CIC is to collect, store, analyze, and exploit personal/business credit information to serve the management of the State Bank of Vietnam.

CIC, managed by the central bank, ensures 100% accurate and reliable information. It stores extensive data of individuals/businesses via tax identification numbers and ID cards. Therefore, you can check your financial health and bad debts on CIC using your account, phone number, and ID card.
In addition to checking financial status, CIC also scores based on your lending situation with banks or businesses.
2. How to Use CIC for Bad Debt Check
No need to visit banks, you can simply register for CIC at home and log in to efficiently and accurately check your finances.
Step 1: Visit the CIC homepage and select Register to create a personal account.

Step 2: Then, choose Object: Individual and fill in all the required information on the CIC form.
Note: When filling in the information, you must be 100% accurate; any mistake will result in your account being rejected.

Step 3: Next, the system will send a confirmation code to your phone, and you should enter it into CIC to complete the registration.

Step 4: Once your registration is complete, CIC will send an email to your Gmail inbox, containing login information (username/password). After receiving these login details, access CIC to log in.

Step 5: After successfully logging into CIC, select Report Extraction.
Usually, reports will be generated within 1 working day for newly registered accounts. For accounts registered earlier, it only takes about 1 hour.

Step 6: In the Report Extraction section, you will find various management options. You can check later. To view financial health, bad debt reports, select View/ Download under Extracted Report List.
