Step 1: On your iPhone, navigate to Settings -> Select Face ID & Passcode -> Tap on Face ID.
Step 2: Proceed to scan your face using the following technique:
First Face ID Scan:
+ Take the prepared piece of paper or mask and cover 1/4 of your face as shown in the illustration below.
Moving Your Face as Instructed by Your iPhone
Second Face ID Scan:
+ Take the prepared piece of paper or mask to cover the remaining 1/4 of your face --> Slowly move your head as prompted by Face ID while keeping the mask securely in place as initially set.
After completing the process, your iPhone screen will display the message: Face ID has been set up, indicating that you've successfully configured Face ID with a mask.
The setup steps for using Face ID with a mask are quite simple, aren't they? However, some users have noted that this trick doesn't always unlock successfully.
