Hik Connect helps users monitor cameras in real-time with PTZ control and two-way audio communication. Additionally, this camera viewing app provides instant alerts through images and videos. Using Hik Connect on your smartphone
Step 1: Open the Hik Connect app and log in with your existing account. If you don't have an account yet, you can follow the installation guide here:

Step 2: In the software workspace window, click on Add New Location. Enter all necessary information in the fields such as Location Name, time zone, address... and check the box Synchronize time and time zone with the device. Then click OK.
Step 3: To add a new device, click on Add Device. Then select a location from the list of created locations.
Step 4: Click on the Add Device button and choose one of the methods to add a device, including: Scan QR code and Manual addition
Step 5: If you choose to add a device by scanning QR code: Simply point the camera at the barcode on the recorder. The app will automatically detect and add the new device.
If you choose to add a device manually: Enter all required information such as Serial number and authentication code of the device.
- For DVRs: the authentication code can be found in the menu -> network -> Platform Access
- For IP cameras: the authentication code is located on the back, just below the barcode.
Then click on the Add button.
That completes the process of adding a new device. Once the device activation notification appears, you will receive instant message notifications. Now you can view live streaming videos from these cameras through the Hik Connect app.
