As mentioned previously, while iPhone users can back up via iCloud, Oppo users accomplish this through NearMe Cloud. Select NearMe Cloud on the home screen and choose Backup contacts (1) or Backup SMS (2) - as depicted below.

There are various methods to back up and sync Oppo contacts such as through a Google account, via hardware devices... and through NearMe Cloud. After selecting Backup contacts (1) as shown in the image above, you choose Backup to Cloud. The execution speed of this process depends on whether you have a large or small number of contacts and the speed of your Internet connection.

2. Backup messages on Oppo with NearMe Cloud
At the Backup messages section (2) in figure 1, you log into your NearMe Cloud account and then select Backup messages (as shown in the image below).
