2. How to Use Your Bluestone Electric Rice Cooker
Standby Mode
- Place the inner pot inside and plug in the rice cooker.
- When plugged in, the rice cooker will emit a beep sound once and the LED light will illuminate.
- If none of the function buttons are selected after 1 minute, the standby mode light will illuminate.
- While the rice cooker is in standby mode, to proceed with using other functions, users should select the standby mode first, then choose other cooking modes.
Cooking Rice
- Rinse the rice and put it into the inner pot along with an appropriate amount of water.
- Plug in the Bluestone electric rice cooker and select the regular or quick cooking function, then press the start button to cook the rice.
- When the rice is cooked, the cooker will automatically switch to the keep warm mode. At this point, you can open the lid and fluff the rice to make it fluffier and tastier.

Note: If no action is taken by the user within 5 seconds, the cooker will emit a beep sound and start cooking (either quick cook or regular cook). As the cooking program nears completion, the display screen will count down to switch to keep warm mode. For the regular cooking mode, it takes 10 minutes, while for quick cooking, it takes 8 minutes to switch.
Setting the Timer
- The timer setting mode applies to functions such as quick cook, regular cook, baby porridge, cereal porridge, soup, steaming, and baking.
- Place the rice cooker in position, plug it in, press the timer setting button to choose the desired cooking time. The default time is 24 hours, it is not recommended to set it for more than 12 hours as the rice will change flavor.
- After 5 seconds of setting, the cooker will initiate the cooking program.

Keep Warm Function
- Once the rice is cooked, the cooker will automatically switch to the keep warm mode.
- If users want to keep warm for longer, when the cooker is in standby mode, press the keep warm/cancel button to keep the pot warm for about 12 hours.
- Whenever it's time to serve the rice, turn off the standby mode and unplug from the power socket.
Soup Cooking Function
- Clean the ingredients, chop them finely, then put them into the pot along with an adequate amount of water.
- Cover the pot, plug it in, select the soup function on the display screen, press the start button to initiate the cooking program.
- Once the soup is cooked, the pot will automatically switch to the keep warm mode.

Porridge Cooking Function
- Clean the rice, prepare the standard porridge ingredients, then put them into the pot along with enough water.
- Close the pot lid, plug it in, select the porridge or children's porridge, cereal function.
- Press the start button to initiate the cooking function.
Steaming/Cooking Function
- Pour an adequate amount of water into the pot and place the steaming tray on top.
- Put the food into the steaming tray and cover the pot.
- Plug in the cooker and select the steam function, then press start to steam the food until cooked.

Keep Warm Function
- Pour the cooled rice into the pot and stir evenly. If there's little rice left, it's best to spread it out in the middle of the pot.
- Add a little water around the rice cooker in case there's plenty of rice left.
- Select the keep warm function, then press the start button to heat up the food.
- Once the warming time is finished, the cooker will switch to keep warm mode.
Cake Making Function
- Spread cooking oil on the bottom and inside of the pot.
- Put the cake mixture into the pot and cover it.
- Plug in the cooker, select the cake making function, press start to operate the cooker.

3. Some notes when using the Bluestone electric rice cooker
● Use an appropriate power source matching the cooker's voltage level.
● It's recommended to use a plastic or soft material rice paddle to avoid scratching the inner pot while stirring.
● Absolutely avoid cooking acidic or alkaline foods as they may cause corrosion to the inner pot.
● Do not open the lid or check while the rice cooker is boiling.
● Remember to unplug before removing the inner pot of the electric rice cooker.
● Clean the cooker's body with a soft damp cloth to remove dust and dirt.
● In case of malfunction or damage, take the cooker to the service center for repairs. Do not attempt to dismantle the body yourself as it may void the warranty.
