Step 1: Since Deep Freeze Standard doesn't have an icon on the Desktop but only a small polar bear icon placed in the system tray, you can only open this utility by holding the Shift key on your keyboard and double-clicking on the icon in the system tray or using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F6.

Step 2: On the interface of Deep Freeze Standard, under the Status tab, there are 3 main settings for you to choose from.

- Boot Frozen (default mode): Activates the freezing mode, preventing any operations like copying, overwriting, deleting.. data.

After setting up, all actions such as installation, note-taking, or deletion... of data on the hard drive will be immediately eliminated when you activate the freezing mode. This means any operations you perform on the frozen hard drive will revert to their previous state upon rebooting the computer. Downloading Deep Freeze can be quite useful, for example, if we install a file that's infected with a virus, simply rebooting the computer will solve the issue. The frozen hard drive can only function normally when the freezing mode is disabled or when unfreezing Deep Freeze from the computer.
