There are various tools like Evernote, Pnotes, and TodoList for organizing tasks and daily reminders. However, not every task reminder tool suits all users. In contrast, Gmail proves to be an excellent tool for this purpose. Thanks to a special extension, users can quickly and easily use Gmail as a task assignment board.
The trick of using Gmail as a task assignment board works best on Google Chrome. However, users can also apply the method of installing Chrome extensions on Firefox to set up Sortd Smart Skin for Gmail on the Firefox browser.
Utilize Gmail for task assignment
Firstly, if you want to use Gmail for task assignment, you need to download an extension called Sortd Smart Skin for Gmail on Chrome. Make sure to log in to your Gmail account beforehand. If you don't have one, quickly create a Gmail account first.
Step 1: Download Sortd Smart Skin for Gmail on Chrome. Note that you have to click Add Extension to allow Google Chrome to install Sortd Smart Skin for Gmail on Chrome. If you don't have the Google Chrome web browser, you can Download Google Chrome
Click on the Add to Chrome option.
Click on the Add Extension option to add the extension.
Step 2: After the download is complete, open Gmail, and by default, you will see a small squirrel icon appearing in the top right corner of the toolbar, accompanied by a horizontal bar with the red Sortd lettering icon.
Step 3: When you click on this button, the application will prompt you to grant access to the extension. Press Allow to grant permission or Deny to refuse.
Step 4: After granting Gmail access to Sortd Smart Skin for Gmail on Google Chrome, your Google Chrome interface will look like this:

Step 5: On each Gmail user's email content, three new icons will appear: Snooze until (Remind notification after a certain period), Archive (Store that email in the All email folder), Recycle (Delete the selected email).
Step 6: Organize and assign tasks in Gmail by dragging and dropping from the inbox, or you can also click on the plus sign icon just below each item.
Moving emails to all folders is easy.
After inputting emails into the task assignment board in Gmail, right-click on an email to apply various features, such as:
Add task (Add a work task), Add a list (Add a new list), Rename list (Change the title of the selected item), and Delete this list (Delete the selected item entirely).
* Other interesting features of the software supporting the use of Gmail as a task assignment board are helpful.
- You can track emails sorted into task-assigned lists in Gmail through the Sortd icon appearing at the beginning of each email.
- The Sortd toolbar can easily expand or collapse to cater to users utilizing Gmail as a task assignment board. This allows you to delete emails from the Gmail homepage or through the Sortd Smart Skin for Gmail tool.
You can also easily mark highlights for the sorted emails.
In the Sortd section, you will see items that you have previously assigned.
On Gmail, the task assignment board feature is just one of the interesting tricks users can explore. Right after registering for Gmail, users are given the choice to switch to the new Inbox interface or not. Additionally, registering for Gmail on a computer is outdated, as users can also register for Gmail on a mobile phone through the Gmail app installed from the Play Store.
In the past, users could only change their Gmail password through a computer. Now, users can change their Gmail password using a phone or other mobile devices as long as there is an Internet connection. Changing your Gmail password is a way to help you avoid the risk of hacking or information theft. In the event of unavoidable data hacking, it's best to delete Gmail to ensure sensitive data isn't disseminated. However, always remember to back up or forward emails to avoid having to delete Gmail.
Using mobile devices, you can download

As mentioned earlier, in addition to using Sortd Smart Skin for Gmail, Mytour also recommends trying out other note-taking and task reminder software such as TodoList, Pnotes, and Evernote to find an application that suits your preferences.
