V5 faces ridicule from the LPL community after an unexpected loss to JDG.
The Spring 2022 LPL season witnesses several surprising outcomes. Firstly, the case of Weibo Gaming stands out. Despite notable transfers at the end of the 2021 season, nobody anticipated WBG's current dominance. Prior to facing Royal Never Give Up, WBG was the only team in the Spring 2022 LPL with an unbeaten streak of 8 matches. Their conquests even included EDward Gaming, the reigning 2021 Worlds champions.

Another unexpected contender is Victory Five. Similar to WBG, V5 also recruited notable names, notably Karsa and Rookie. However, Rookie has often been undervalued following disappointing seasons with Invictus Gaming. Finally, Rookie has undergone a strong resurgence, propelling V5 to second place, just behind WBG.

However, WBG recently faltered against RNG, providing V5 with an opportunity to rise to the top of the Spring 2022 LPL standings. Yet, V5's reign at the top was short-lived. In their 7th week match, V5 unexpectedly stumbled against JD Gaming - a team struggling with poor form and positioned towards the bottom of the standings. This surprising defeat also 'assists' WBG in reclaiming the top spot due to their superior head-to-head record against V5.

Witnessing V5's unexpected downfall, LPL fans couldn't help but feel frustrated. Ironically, SofM and his teammates also become 'victims'. Many LPL fans bitterly jest that V5 are 'good buddies' with WBG, feeling that they shouldn't have 'handed over' the top spot to SofM's WBG.

Nevertheless, SofM's WBG has reclaimed the top spot. In the current situation, both WBG and V5 still need more victories to secure their spots in the playoffs. While rankings may not be affected, defeats against RNG and JDG will provide valuable lessons for these two teams as they prepare for the upcoming crucial phase.
