Vàm Ray Temple stands as a renowned spiritual destination that captivates travelers visiting Tra Vinh.
Vàm Ray Temple proudly hosts the largest statue of Buddha Thich Ca in the Mekong Delta region.
Vàm Ray Temple has been reconstructed from the ancient temple with over 600 years of history, considered one of the largest and most beautiful Khmer temples. The architecture of Vàm Ray Temple exhibits all the characteristics of the Angkor style (Cambodia).

Vàm Ray Temple stands grandiose like a majestic palace crafted in gold. The entire temple is an exquisite work of art, from its design and vaulted roof to walls, staircases, and divine statues. The main hall of the temple has four gates, with the main gate facing east in Khmer tradition, symbolizing the Buddha's path from West to East.

The entrance to Vàm Ray Temple is wide and airy, adorned with statues of goddesses with folded hands on either side. Inside the main hall, wall paintings depicting Khmer cultural themes embellish the entire space, portraying the life of the Buddha and the teachings of the Buddhist philosophy.

Notably, the temple houses a majestic statue of Buddha Thich Ca, stretching 54 meters in length, towering 20 meters high, and spanning 16 meters in width, placed on a pedestal equivalent to a two-story building. The entire statue and pedestal are adorned with gold leaf lacquer. This is also the largest outdoor Buddha statue in the Mekong Delta.
