2. Accommodation Options at Vân Hồ Ecolodge
Vân Hồ Ecolodge offers three types of stilt houses representing three different ethnic groups, each with its own distinctive style. The interiors are adorned with local patterns and motifs such as brocade fabric, bamboo flutes, and more.
The Stilt House of the Muong People
Situated amidst the Muong ethnic community, Vân Hồ Ecolodge draws inspiration from their traditional dwellings to create an authentic Muong house experience.
The Stilt House of the Thai People
A distinctive feature of Thai stilt houses is that they have stairs on both sides and are usually elevated about 1m above the ground. The rooms are built from natural wood, with palm leaves used for roofing to provide shelter from rain and sun.
The Stilt House of the H'Mong People
In contrast to Thai stilt houses, H'Mong people build their houses directly on the ground using natural wood materials.
Dormitory-style bedrooms are suitable for large groups of guests. Each bed accommodates 1-2 people. To provide privacy, each bed is equipped with curtains and has a window offering a refreshing view of nature.
Vân Hồ Ecolodge comprises 8 bungalows, all built in an open and fully equipped space, providing cool and airy accommodations. Notably, the foundation of the houses is built with large stones, and all windows are equipped with transparent glass to prevent insects. Each room has a heater for chilly winters.
Balcony
The favorite spot isn't just inside each house; it's the balcony with its natural view, overlooking the mountains and forests - something that few other places can offer.
Common Area
The common area of the resort is spacious and well-equipped with TVs, lights, and tables and chairs for enjoying news broadcasts, watching movies, or chatting together. The house is mostly built and furnished with natural wood.
