The latest VCS logo is making waves within the Vietnamese LoL community
On the afternoon of February 24, Riot officially declared the revival of the VCS tournament, starting with VCS Spring 2023. The two major professional tournaments in the Vietnamese LoL scene in 2023 will be named Dawn (Spring) and Dusk (Summer). Simultaneously, the VCS organizers unveiled their new logo. It features the stylized letters 'VCS' in a color palette dominated by green and magenta.
However, this time, the logo has sparked intense debates not only within the Vietnamese LoL community but also among unrelated parties such as design enthusiasts. Opinions can be divided into two main streams, with one expressing clear support and the other showing less enthusiasm for the new logo.
Specifically, for those supporting the new logo, the colors align well with the 'Dawn' theme of the tournament. However, some supporters suggest that while the stylized 'VCS' looks beautiful, the background colors are not well-coordinated, creating a dazzling effect. There's feedback suggesting the use of softer theme-appropriate colors or fresher tones more suited to the 'Dawn' theme - a time of new beginnings with many novelties.

However, it's essential to note that minimalistic design has been employed in numerous global LoL tournaments for an extended period. Logos of leagues like LPL, LCK, LCS, and LEC are even simpler. Particularly, the stylized regional name logo design has been a tradition for LCS for a long time.
