Da Nang isn't just famous for its pricey resorts and hotels. Nowadays, there's a plethora of stunning homestays, ranging from nostalgic and romantic to simple and charming... And here, stepping into Da Nang for the first time, is a brand new seaside-inspired homestay unveiled by us for you all.

Discovering Compass during a frantic search for accommodation in Da Nang. The cheap ones were all booked up, and the beautiful ones were a bit pricey. It took asking 8,640 people to find a place to stay that suited our tastes. Affordable and beautiful, what more could you ask for?

The Compass is a cute little hostel tucked away on Ha Dac Street, right next to the beautiful My Khe beach. So close that you can just head straight to the beach whenever you feel like it, not to mention it's near the airport, just 2km away from the city center, Dragon Bridge, and Han River Bridge... super convenient!

I'm extremely impressed with this hostel because at first glance, it immediately evokes the beautiful Santorini island in Greece. The predominant use of blue and white colors, reminiscent of the sky and the sea, is evident in every corner of the room, meticulously adorned with accessories such as ship wheels, lifebuoys, shells, and clams...

The reason for such decoration is that the owners themselves have a purpose behind it. Upon inquiry, I learned that because they live in a coastal city, they took the liberty of bringing a bit of the sea's essence into the hostel so that visitors to Da Nang can experience a more authentic and genuine atmosphere here.

The hostel comprises 7 rooms, each fully equipped with amenities and facilities including beds, TVs, air conditioners, towels, hair dryers, private toilets, and full-house WiFi coverage. Hehe.

There are 3 dorm rooms for solo travelers who enjoy exploring alone, or simply want to socialize and make friends with like-minded travel enthusiasts. Each bed comes with a locker, so feel free to use them securely.

But it's not just dorms; the hostel also offers private rooms for those who prefer privacy and discretion.

Furthermore, the hostel features common areas, soundproof rooms, smoking rooms... even swings and countless sacred photo spots. You can indulge in endless photo opportunities here because the lighting is absolutely divine.

My favorite thing about the hosts here is that they're always enthusiastic and attentive to guests, always concerned about what guests might be missing, ensuring an adorable experience. Not to mention, you don't even need Google Maps here; just ask once and you'll immediately receive a curated list of great places to eat and hang out. It's all about that cozy, friendly atmosphere, just like home.

Because it's newly opened, the hostel offers many promotional programs: We stayed here for 3 nights and were picked up from the airport, saving us a trip to the hostel. If you come in a group of 4 - 7 people, it's only 90K - 100K per bed. And if you stay longer (4 nights), you get 1 free night. Amazing, right?
