Civilization VI has officially announced that the next game expansion will introduce Vietnam under the leadership of Lady Trieu. This exciting news has stirred up Vietnamese gamers.
In Civilization 6, the publisher refers to Lady Trieu as Lady Trieu internationally. Lady Trieu's depiction in the game is of a female general wearing an áo dài and wielding a spear.
Lady Trieu, also known by other names such as Trieu Thi Trinh or Trieu Au, is a real historical figure in Vietnamese history. She is a renowned female general who led the people in a rebellion against the invasion of the Eastern Wu in 248 AD.
Lady Trieu's unique ability, Drive Out the Aggressor, not only boosts combat strength for units fighting in tropical rainforests, marshes, or forests but also increases their movement points.
The War Elephant is the distinctive military unit of the Vietnamese civilization in Civilization VI, serving as the medieval replacement for archers. War Elephants have the ability to move after attacking, faster movement speed, better sight range, and improved defensive capabilities.
Finally, Vietnam's structure is called the Citadel, replacing the Encampment and with a lower construction cost.
The upcoming Civilization VI expansion is scheduled to be released on January 28th on both PC and console platforms.
