Located on Dien Bien Phu Street, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, the Vietnam Military History Museum is both a historical site in Hanoi and a famous tourist destination for both domestic and international visitors.

Upon entering the main hall on the 1st floor, there are three areas you can visit: the first area is about our military during the time of the Hung Kings until Ngo Quyen defeated the Southern Han army; the second area features statues of Uncle Ho and images from the resistance against the French (from 1858 to 1945); the last area discusses the early battles from the Ly dynasty to the Nguyen dynasty.
On the 2nd floor is where you can delve deeper into the two famous resistance wars: the resistance against the French and the resistance against the Americans, along with the brilliant Ho Chi Minh campaign.
Many artifacts at the Vietnam Military History Museum are notable, such as bicycles used in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, MiG19 and MiG21 aircraft, Sam 2 and Sam 3 missiles in the anti-American campaign, bamboo spikes, and tanks from the armored brigade entering Saigon on April 30, 1975, all displayed prominently in the middle of the room.
