The Star, a renowned Malaysian newspaper, has recently revealed its list of top destinations for 2015 that travelers should visit, with Vietnam claiming the top spot.
The ranking criteria are based on recommendations from travel websites and some guidebook publishers in the country. This year's list, published by The Star, includes 5 destinations, with Vietnam being the only representative from Asia.
According to The Star, visitors should explore the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long and other historical landmarks and cultural heritage sites to immerse themselves in special events alongside locals participating in programs designed for tourists.
Previously hailed by TripAdvisor as the standout destination of 2015, Danang will attract tourists not only for its beautiful beaches with white sands and golden sunshine but also for the uniqueness of its Buddhist conservation areas.

The next destination on the list is the Republic of Namibia. This African country captivates tourists primarily with its natural heritage. Additionally, in 2015, the nation will commemorate 25 years of independence, offering tourists the opportunity to celebrate with locals and explore the richness of its wildlife and numerous nature reserves.
Panama and Nicaragua both rank 3rd. These countries are currently developing their tourist infrastructure, with the emergence of several hotel construction projects. Pristine beaches, volcanoes, and colonial-era towns are also highlights, attracting tourists.
Lithuania, situated on the Baltic coast, ranks 4th and is an ideal destination for those seeking peace in Europe. Visitors can stroll charming pedestrian streets, admire the Baroque architecture of churches, or rediscover traces of the Soviet era. Additionally, exploring the parks and natural landscapes of Coast Amber and Kurzeme Isthmus promises wonderful experiences.
The city dubbed the “European Capital of Culture in 2015,” Mons, Belgium, occupies the last position on the list. Mons and its surrounding region, such as Hainaut, attract many visitors with a rich cultural heritage including the Baroque bell tower in Mons, the Neolithic flint mines in Spiennes, and nearby coal mines.
