Japanese anime has showcased many familiar scenes of Vietnam.
Not only featuring Vietnamese characters, Japanese anime (anime) also includes numerous scenes set in familiar Vietnamese settings. From streets, houses to famous landmarks, every detail is meticulously crafted, demonstrating charm and sophistication, making Vietnamese audiences extremely proud and fond.

In the 'time-travel' theme, the anime series 'Jobless Reincarnation' caused a stir by incorporating images of the picturesque Tam Coc - Bich Dong in Ninh Binh right in episode 19's introduction.


When it comes to Vietnamese-themed Japanese animation projects, 'Blood+' is certainly the first film that comes to mind. With the theme of fighting against vampires, 'Blood+' features many scenes and characters from Vietnam. Besides the white-dressed schoolgirls, the film also portrays the streets, houses, and shops with a strong Hanoi vibe. Among them are places like 'Motorbike', 'Art Room' that are extremely familiar.


'Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail' is also an anime with many details that Vietnamese fans find fascinating. In one scene, the main character walks past a yellow-stained wall, on which countless familiar Vietnamese words are printed, even with words written in a mischievous yet nostalgic manner.

In the old anime series Fantastic Children, specifically in episode 1, there's a captivating ginseng drink stall on the street, with the price listed on the board as only 1000 dong/cup. It's evident that Vietnamese scenes have been intricately crafted and beautifully integrated into Japanese animation for a long time.

Even in a mystical film like Flying Witch, there are scenes set in Vietnam. Specifically, in episode 8, the protagonist Kowata Akane and her cat Kenny embark on a boat trip in Ha Long Bay. From the turquoise waters, sunny skies to the immense rocky islands, Ha Long Bay unexpectedly has such a heartwarming animated version in Japanese animation.
