This handsome leading man has made appearances in many famous films.
In 2017, Happy Death Day was released and took the world by storm with its unique and thrilling storyline. The sequel also screened in Vietnam and achieved impressive box office results.
If the movie once delighted Vietnamese viewers with the song 'Số Nhọ' by the group Lip B, then surely no one will forget the following Vietnamese-origin actor in the film.

Appearing in both installments of Happy Death Day, Phi Vu captivated audiences in the role of Ryan Phan. Ryan is the best friend of Carter - the boyfriend of the protagonist Tree. While in the first installment, Ryan only briefly appeared in a comedic role, in Happy Death Day 2U, the Vietnamese-origin heartthrob undertakes an important task - along with Tree and Carter, he researches time travel to break the time loop that Tree is trapped in.

Born in 1991 in Louisiana, Phi Vu has never hidden his Vietnamese heritage. Even in Happy Death Day, his character also has the last name Phan (a common Vietnamese surname).

Aside from Happy Death Day, Phi Vu has also played supporting roles in many iconic Hollywood projects. For example, Pitch Perfect 2 (as a member of the Treblemakers), Ozark, and notably, the blockbuster Logan featuring the famous Marvel mutant character Wolverine.

Despite playing supporting roles, Phi Vu always puts his all into every character he portrays. Faced with a career that hasn't quite fully blossomed, Phi Vu always chooses to look at the bright side, especially now that he has something greater - a family. Currently, Phi Vu is married and has a daughter named Violet Van Vu.

By following the personal page of Happy Death Day actor, audiences can easily see his pride in being Vietnamese. Last April, Phi Vu had the opportunity to attend a Vietnamese film event. Perhaps soon, audiences will reunite with Phi Vu in a Vietnamese film?
