For those who have been following LoL for years, especially fans in Vietnam, the commentator Hoang Luan is a familiar name - one of the most experienced casters in the VCS region. The male caster is closely associated with LoL as one of the most seasoned casters, with a high level of expertise. Many Vietnamese LoL fans even feel fortunate that the male caster is still involved with VCS after rumors circulated that he would not participate in tournaments from this Spring season onwards.

But another factor that makes BLV Hoang Luan famous in the Vietnamese LoL community is his 'reverse prediction' aura. It's unclear for what reason, but the male caster often makes predictions that turn out to be completely opposite. In fact, many fanatics even use this as a reason to 'blame' him whenever their favorite team receives unexpected results. Some others hope that the male caster will not make any comments or predictions before their idol team competes. He even has the nickname Pelu, based on the completely incorrect predictions of the legendary footballer Pelé.

Recently, Dplus KIA was eliminated from the LCK Spring 2023 after losing to Hanwha Life Esports in the first round of playoffs. DK's loss was quite surprising given that ShowMaker and teammates were clearly highly rated. However, they ultimately failed and some Vietnamese fans pointed out: BLV Hoang Luan is the 'culprit'.

Specifically, before DK's loss to HLE, BLV Hoang Luân had many YouTube contents praising DK. He even confidently asserted that DK and T1 would be the two teams going to MSI 2023. Alongside that were some clips praising ShowMaker or expressing confidence in DK's ability to reach the finals of LCK Spring 2023. The result, however, is clear to everyone.

However, regardless, these are merely humorous opinions of LoL fans in the face of BLV Hoang Luan's overwhelming 'aura'. DK lost convincingly, and HLE deserved to proceed based on what they demonstrated. And perhaps, DK should only blame themselves for not performing better.
