Speed Chasers becomes the first esports discipline to bring home medals for the Vietnamese Electronic Sports delegation.
Yesterday, Speed Chasers at SEA Games 32 found medalists. Overall, the gold belongs to the Philippines, Vietnam secures silver, while Singapore claims bronze. This marks Vietnam's first esports medal at this event.
Although missing the highest accolade, Vietnamese Speed Chasers delivered a captivating performance, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

This year, Cerberus Esports represents Vietnam in the competition. Following Team Flash's determined spirit last year, Cerberus openly expresses their desire to excel and bring glory to the national Speed Chasers scene. The team effortlessly triumphs over Singapore in the loser's bracket finals with a dominant 3-0 score, showcasing superior skill, technique, and strategy.

In the decisive match against familiar foes from the Philippines, the intense back-and-forth keeps spectators on edge, prompting calls for oxygen sponsorship due to the nail-biting nature of the game. Despite trailing 2-0, Vietnam's representatives remain resilient, securing a crucial victory to bolster morale. Even though it may be all we could achieve, the unwavering spirit of determination prevents our silver medal from losing its significance.

While unable to defend the championship title at SEA Games 31, our athletes seized the opportunity to compete and learn from the Philippines – a nation with rapidly advancing esports prowess. The Speed Chasers' medal holds symbolic significance, uplifting the spirits of the Vietnamese Electronic Sports delegation in future competitions.
