Heavy rain and landslides are currently occurring in Nepal, making tourist trips unsafe.
Vietnamese travelers advised against visiting Nepal in the next three months
Vietnam's Ambassador to India, Nepal, and Bhutan, Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, stated on July 11th that a group of 13 Vietnamese and 5 Nepalese tourists were stranded due to heavy rain and landslides in Khang Sang village, approximately 150 km from Kathmandu. The Vietnamese group consists of 8 men and 5 women from Ho Chi Minh City who arrived in Nepal on July 5th.
After informing the Vietnamese Embassy, the group was assisted by the Honorary Consulate in Nepal, coordinating with local authorities for search and rescue efforts. 'By July 13th, the phones of all members in the group were out of battery, and the area's electricity was cut off, but they were safely airlifted back to Kathmandu,' said Mr. Pham Sanh Chau.

Given the dangerous natural disasters, the Vietnamese Embassy recommends Vietnamese citizens not to travel to Nepal during the rainy season from now until the end of September. For information or assistance, travelers can contact the citizen protection hotline of the Vietnamese Embassy in India: +91997 125 7204, or the citizen protection hotline +84 981 848484.
