Vietnamese youth secures a position in the top 15 countries with the happiest lives globally, as announced by the International Youth Organization, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and Hilton Worldwide.
For the first time, the International Youth Organization, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and Hilton Worldwide conducted a survey and released the Youth Quality of Life Index to evaluate the lives of young people in 30 countries worldwide.
The countries listed by the International Youth Organization, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and Hilton Worldwide do not all rank at the top globally. These countries represent up to 70% of the world's youth population (aged 12-24). A notable example is Nigerian youth ranking at the bottom of the list in the top 30 countries with the happiest lives.

To compile this list, researchers relied on 40 criteria for evaluation, including youth involvement in community activities, employment opportunities, education, health, science and technology, safety, and security.
The International Youth Organization, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and Hilton Worldwide emphasize the crucial role of youth in society's well-being.
“The youth in society will increasingly mature and contribute to the prosperity and development of the country. However, challenges such as rising crime rates and instability cannot be ignored,” reported the International Youth Organization, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and Hilton Worldwide.

According to the list, Vietnam stands as the sole developing country and holds the 15th position among the top 30 countries with the leading youth quality of life index globally, despite having only an average income. Australia tops the list, followed by Sweden, South Korea, the UK, and Germany.
A surprising fact is that Russia, the only high-income country, does not make it to the top 10. Meanwhile, positions 1-9 are mostly occupied by the world's leading developed countries.
Despite being the world's number one superpower, the United States is ranked 6th in the list of the top 30 countries with the happiest youth lives. Experts explain that, despite a high income level, American youth lead lives full of amenities yet marred by numerous instabilities. Additionally, the rates of youth depression, negative thinking, and succumbing to social vices are alarmingly high.
